How much does it cost to record a song in India?

There is no honest single price for recording a song in India. A vocal booth for two hours and a full band tracked live, then mixed and mastered, are different jobs. StudioKhoj does not publish a national average, because averages hide the line items that actually change your bill.

What usually changes the bill

• Room time: hourly, half-day, or a song package.
• Who is in the room: an engineer, a producer, a session musician, or only you with the gear.
• How finished the song is: a guide track and lyrics save hours. Arranging from scratch does not.
• Deliverables: a rough mix, a full mix, a master, stems, or a Dolby Atmos version.
• Revisions, overtime, and extra instruments tracked later.
• Taxes and charges the studio adds on top of the room rate.

Published rates are not partner rates

If a studio prints a rate on its own website, StudioKhoj may show that figure and say where it came from. That is their published price, not a rate we negotiated. A partner rate is shown only after it is approved, with what it includes and when it expires. If we do not have an approved figure, the button says Enquire for Partner Rates.

Tell us the city, whether you need vocals only or a band, the date, and how long you think you need. We check suitable rooms and come back with what is included. An enquiry is not a confirmed booking. Nothing is held until you and the studio both agree.
