How to choose a studio for vocals
2026-10-12
A vocal session needs a quiet place to sing, a way to hear the track, and someone who can record the take. It does not require every room in a city. Start with the city you will travel to, then open only the studios whose pages list vocal or song recording.
Read the listing before you assume a booth
Some rooms publish a vocal booth. Some publish an open live room. If the profile does not mention a booth, StudioKhoj has not confirmed one. Do not treat a photo on the site as the room. Those pictures are illustrative.
Decide the job
- A guide vocal on an existing beat.
- A lead vocal that needs several takes.
- Harmony or ad-lib passes after the lead is done.
- A voice-over, which is not the same booking as a song vocal.
Ask what the hour includes
Ask whether an engineer is in the room, whether you can bring your own producer, and whether the session is long enough for more than one song. Headphones, a mic, and a booth are confirmed only when that studio published them or the reply says so. Send the date and the job to StudioKhoj on +91 79865 77067. The studio’s own number is not on the profile.
